Privacy Policy — Friendloop

Last updated 26 September 2026 · applies to Friendloop for iOS

Friendloop keeps the people you add, and everything you write about them, on your iPhone. Webspind runs no server and cannot see your friends or your notes. The only thing sent on is purchase details. This page explains it in detail, and exists because Apple requires a privacy policy for every app.

What the app stores

The friends you add, the circle you put them in, when you last met, your notes, facts and follow-ups, and your settings (rhythm and reminder time). It all stays in the app's storage on your iPhone. There is no account, no advertising identifier, no fingerprinting and no analytics.

Writing to friends

Friendloop never sends a message itself. When you tap "Write to …", it hands a suggested message to the app you chose for that friend: Apple's Messages opens with the text filled in; WhatsApp opens through a wa.me link carrying the friend's number and the text; for Messenger, Instagram and Snapchat the text is copied to your clipboard and the app (or the friend's profile, if you added their username) is opened. You decide whether to send anything, and what happens after that is covered by that app's own privacy policy. Usernames you add stay on your iPhone.

Contacts

If you choose people from Contacts, Apple's contact picker hands Friendloop only the names you pick. Friendloop has no access to the rest of your contacts. It stores only the names you pick and, so you can message or call them from the app, their phone number. You can also type a number yourself. Nothing is sent anywhere by Friendloop.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. To confirm and restore them, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase details (product, price, time and App Store receipt) and technical details such as app version and country. RevenueCat receives nothing about your friends or notes.

Notifications

Catch-up reminders, follow-up reminders and the reminder before a free trial ends are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.

Crash reports

If you share analytics with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send me aggregated crash reports with device model, iOS version and a stack trace. They contain nothing about your friends or notes.

Children

Friendloop is not directed at children.

Delete your data

Remove a friend in the app and everything about them is deleted. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored. For your purchase data at RevenueCat, write to me and I will have it deleted.

Changes

If the policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the change is mentioned in the app's release notes.

Questions, or want something deleted? Write to webspind@gmail.com and I will answer within two working days.
