Questions

Will the text still be selectable?

Compression redraws each page as an image, so text can no longer be selected. Use it for scans and photos; for text documents, the OCR tool can make the result searchable again.

What if the file doesn't get smaller?

Then the original was already well compressed, and you keep it. We tell you before you download.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The page loads the tools into your browser, and your files are opened and saved on your own device. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tools keep working.

Is there a file-size limit?

Only your device's memory. Most computers handle PDFs of several hundred pages. On a phone, very large files can be slow.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark.
